September 2026 River Summit, Equinox River Blessing, Dialogues with the Severn, World Rivers Day River Frome Blessing

Hello everyone! Here is some river news with upcoming events which you’re invited to. I don’t know about you but for myself the heatwaves and droughts this summer are emphasising the need for collective stewardship of our rivers! And I love how this work attracts river-loving people with such a wide variety of skills.

This coming weekend sees the River Summit in Henley-onThames with many speakers and practitioners as well as MPs, including Lawyers for Nature, Monica Feria-Tinta, amongst many water industry experts during the day on Friday and in the evening there will be films about rivers. Saturday is a family-friendly community day with workshops and activities next to the Thames. I have been invited to contribute to the opening ceremony on Friday and to lead the opening ceremony on Saturday. I’m looking forward to seeing many like minded water loving people there be they activists, industry professionals, artists or ceremonialists. More details can be found here

On Saturday 19th September there is a River Blessing for Equinox

at a magical spring near Avebury meeting at Alton Barnes church SN8 4JY at 11am. Bring a flower, some water from your locale as we mark this time of equal light and dark.

Also over the weekend of Saturday 19th September there is a Dialogues with the Severn Festival celebrating the mighty River Severn, and on Saturday I will be joining artists and practitioners to present a ‘Pecha Kucha’ describing my ceremonial relationship with our biggest river. This will be at the Chapels of Rest in Stroud 7 – 9 pm. More details can be found here.

Sunday September 27th is World Rivers Day and many community events will be happening worldwide to bring attention to our rivers. Here in Stroud we will be holding a World Rivers Day River Frome Blessing meeting at Capel’s Mill at 10.30 am. This will be a joyful and uplifting community event and also an opportunity to find out more about how to get involved in river stewardship. River Frome Rights, Ritual, Restore is a movement of local people who bring different skills: citizen’s science, arts, poetry, music, bio-diversity monitoring, litter-picking, rights of rivers. With Wilder Network we are creating relationships with local councillors, activists, artists, lawyers to work out how to effectively become river guardians. Whatever your relationship with river Frome is, whether it’s dipping, walking, playing, exploring, science, arts etc your voice is welcome and needed. If you would like to join us feel free to bring a flower, a drum and some water from your locale. In the spirit of ‘Think Global, Act Local’, we will be celebrating our river Frome and all rivers!

Demystifying energy work

Have you tried everything else? All forms of medicine/therapy have their place, so does energy work. Energy is the animating force which runs through all life. Some conditions respond better to energy work than to other modalities.

Energy work helps you release blockages and get back into flow, facilitates somatic awareness of your unique place in the cosmos, connects you with your pure essence, aids your harmonisation with humanity and nature. Let's grow your personal power together.
